Reflex East: Our Team

We are monitoring closely the information from our government, the NHS, The General Osteopathic Council and The Institute of Osteopathy

 

  1. As of the Prime Minister’s announcement on the evening of March 23rd we took the decision to keep close FIX-ME until the current lockdown is lifted or rules were relaxed. We are now open from May 20th for 2 days a week.

  2. All FIX-ME Staff have been home since March 23rd, are symptom free and now working solely in the clinic.

  3. We will be sign-posting current government recommendations for your information in our clinic and on our social media.

  4. We are now conducting Face to Face consultations for those in need.

  5. We are currently also open for remote services via phone/video link or email where possible (history, examination, working diagnosis and referral or care in the form of education and advice. 

  6. If you have an appointment, please cancel if you exhibit the symptoms of a high temperature, new or continuous cough or if you think you might have been exposed. Our safe guarding policy can be found here:

Reopening procedures

  1. We ask all patients attending FIX-ME to wear a face mask upon arrival; if you do not have one we will provide a disposable one.

  2. Please ensure you cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or elbow when coughing or sneezing;

  3. Upon arrival can all patients wash/disinfect their hands. We will offer hand-washing anti-bacterial hand gel.

  4.  We are using paper barriers and single use washed gowns and diligently dis-infecting between each patient visit all contact points in treatment rooms.

  5. We are regularly cleaning our treatment room and toilets- after each appointment

  6. We will have masks, gloves and plastic aprons for appointments.

  7. All practitioners are regularly washing their hands and monitoring/protecting their own, and their family’s health.

  8. We will continue to function a one in one out routine with 20 minute breaks between each patient for cleaning.

  9. We encourage patients to wait outside if they are early to avoid passing patients and building workers in the hallway.

  10. Our ‘at risk’ patients (pregnant, over 70, health condition, weakened immune system) are welcome to phone us for advice and we will do our best to help you. If you do require care you will arrive and leave with minimal human contact and exposure with our one in one out policy.

  11. Please discuss with your partners/housemates/families before attending your appointment- this must be a joint decision. 

  12.  While we are taking every precaution to limit your exposure to coronavirus, we cannot guarantee that there is no risk as a result of attending our clinic for treatment. We will request your written consent in your treatment notes prior to beginning your appointment.

FIX-ME

Current Covid-19 cleansing procedures to be observed at all times for practitioners

 

  • Practitioners to wash their hands before and after touching each patient

 

  • Practitioners to clean the plinth, chairs, desk and everything else that has been touched during the patient encounter incl pens, door handles, light switches, instruments (massagers, activators etc) with wipes.

 

  • Practitioners will ensure patients sign or verbally agree a Covid-19 consent to treatment at the start of their appointment.

 

  • Practitioners will discuss benefits as per normal procedures and also mention infection risk factors and document that you have discussed it.

 

  • Please wear masks, gloves and single-use aprons

 

  • No patient should attend the clinic with suspected COVID-19 symptoms
